I painted this picture from the foot bridge over the Crooked River at Rim Rock Park in Prineville. In order to get the lighting right I could only paint for a few minutes right after sunset before it got too dark. Each night, except for a few nights when I was delayed by thunderstorms, I would walk down to the bridge with my paints to add a little more to the painting before the sunset faded.
