Most of my paintings from college were small, quick paintings like this one that I finished while home from school for summer or winter break. This was my third painting of the summer after my first year of college. I was feeling incredibly eager to paint when I came home from school as I had learned so many new things in my first year at college, and yet I hadn't had much time to experiment on my own.
