assemblage: eleven glass bottles, objects and
photographs in wood and metal box

List of bottle contents: seeds, pine pitch, rain water,
feathers, wine, motor oil, soil, juniper berries, blood,
sand, Crooked River water.
This was a project I worked on throughout the summer of 2003. I wasn’t adjusting well to living in Portland and going to college, so I looked forward to summers back in Prineville. Central Oregon felt like a kind of medicine at the time to help me through the winters in Portland. I collected objects over the course of the summer to add to the case. The last objects I added were the sand and the rain water from a thunderstorm the last weekend before I went back to school.
